What We Do

You're already a member

of the 911 Kids Club

if you want to help us

keep kids safe!

NO FEES OR MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED

We aren't a typical club where you need to apply for membership or pay fees to belong.

Instead, the 911 Kids Club is a program that provides FREE photo ID cards to kids under age 16 and their parents.

CARDS MADE SINCE 1997

(updated October 2020)

The 911 Kids Club is a direct contact community outreach program offered by Public Safety Employees Union #519 (PSEU). We have been providing this FREE service since 1997.

Only by working in close collaboration with First Responders, healthcare providers, civic and social groups and a multitude of other law enforcement agencies is PSEU able to provide FREE 911 Kids Club ID cards.

We also rely on business sponsors and individual contributors whose donations help us reach more kids each and every year.

"I am a Family Advocate for Children’s Home Society, Early Head Start. The program I work directly with serves families with children ages birth to three. I have used the 911 Kids Club  as an educational event offered to my families for at least 10 years. This is one of our biggest parent participating events as our parents will go the extra step to keep their child safe. I love the idea of offering families the ability to complete the online ID badges and the education materials in teaching children to use 911. Thanks for all you do to keep children safe!"

HISTORY

Being actively involved in the community, we were able to see first-hand the numerous challenges faced by parents and guardians when trying to keep their children safe in today’s rapidly evolving world.  The 911 Kids Club (formerly the MY ID CLUB program) was created in 1997 in Seattle, WA as a community service program of Public Safety Employees Union #519 (formerly known as the King County Police Union)  to address these concerns.

Since its inception, 911 Kids Club has issued more than 300,000 ID cards at more than 2,500 public events. It has been featured at schools from pre-K to university level, churches, YMCA centers, libraries, and parks, malls, fire departments, chambers, rotaries, PTA's and hospitals, city festival and carnivals, sports venues, parks and even the occasional Fred Meyer or Home Depot parking lot!
