911 Kids Club wants to “Invite You to Invite Us!”

Each summer, we provide FREE photo ID cards to kids age 16 and under to help keep kids safe. We hand out the free cards at festivals, celebrations and public events around Puget Sound.

Now we’d like to invite PTAs to invite 911 Kids Club to their next event!

We want to get these child ID cards into the hands of as many parents and kids as possible, so we’re offering a NEW program to PTAs. PTAs can choose to:

  1. Invite Us!

Invite 911 Kids Club to your event. In the fall and spring, we’ll attend your event, set up a table and hand out the cards.

Or

  1. Borrow Our Equipment!

If we cannot attend your event, we’ll loan you the equipment. We’ll train you on how to use the equipment to create ID cards. It’s easy to use. All you need is a table and a power source.

Why Do Kids Need ID cards?

Statistics from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children are grim when it comes to missing kids. They recommend every family have a current head and shoulders color photo for each child. The 911 Kids Club ID cards provide this and much more.

About the ID cards

Sample ID card.

Each card contains 17 pieces of vital info, a headshot of the child and their thumbprint. If the child gets lost or is in an accident, the card can be used to help the child to safety or to obtain emergency medical treatment. The information provided by the parents, including the thumbprint are NOT kept in any kind of database or shared with anyone else.

How it Works at an Event

Parents fill in the information requested on the card. Then we take a picture of the child along with a thumbprint to aid in Amber Alerts. The finished card is given to the child to carry. A copy goes to the parent to hand to First Responders if their child gets lost or is missing.
